Ten years of Sunflowers, ten years of over-the-top garage rock with punk and psychedelic influences. For us fans, the band from Portugal has a special gift. Through Stolen Body Records, a two-part compilation titled “SFHC 2014 – 2024” is being released, offering a brief overview of the band’s history.
Included are demos dating back to the very beginning, connecting the past to the present. There are also experimental tracks and jams, along with updated versions of familiar hits.
“Sleepy Sun” stands out here. A song that perfectly fits its title – wonderfully sleepy, yet sunny and fuzzy. Also noteworthy are “Mama Kim” and the epic live recording of “Monomania/Epilogue.”
