A perfect match: Orville Neeley (Bad Sports, OBN IIIs) and Chris Shaw (Ex-Cult, Vile Nation), both well-versed in punk, discovered each other a little over two years ago. Together with Danny Clodfelter and Jackson Todd, they formed Memo PST, recorded demos, and crafted a first album from a brief session.
In The Red is handling the release, which suits the LA punk sound found on the record. The sound is a bit rough but has a sunny disposition. Fans of the members’ previous bands will feel right at home.
The songs range from casually driving to hard-hitting. “Blue Cellophane” takes a relaxed approach, while “Best One Leaves” delivers heavy blows. “Reptile Zodiac” stands out a bit, bringing Southern rock into the mix.
