Starting at €175,000 per week, you can rent the yacht “Teleost.” You’ll be cooked for by Josh Bingham, who might even sing you a song. That`s because the Brit is also part of a psych rock band called Pink Elderflower Moon.
“The Long Strange Winding Road To Everywhere” (Fuzzed Up & Astromoon) is their debut album, featuring “14 songs, written in 14 countries” (press release). The album promises – and delivers – British rock ‘n’ roll with a psych pop influence.
It’s an expansive album that introduces grand gestures gradually. After the atmospheric “Falling Apart,” the catchy “Getaway” brings us into Brit rock territory, where we remain for much of the album. “Shambolic Society” opens the door toward Primal Scream, but quickly closes it again.
Everything is quite pleasant and catchy. However, the standout track is the cool psych piece “If Music Had A Love, It Would Be LSD.” Fuzzy and beautifully trippy. The outro then flows elegantly, like cruising towards a secluded bay on a luxurious yacht.
