A small milestone for The Men: Buyer Beware (Fuzz Club) marks the New York band’s 15th album. They’ve always evolved but never shied away from looking back. Now, they find themselves right in the middle—this new record feels fresh yet familiar.
The Men have developed a strong connection with Travis Harrison, who once again played a key role in the recording process. They’ve kept the sound close to their recent Fuzz Club releases—raw, straight to tape, punk-tinged, and gritty. This time, there’s a slightly more psychedelic edge, though the album leans heavily on fast-paced tracks.
At The Movies is an irresistibly catchy rock song—gritty but melodic. Charm goes even further, bringing a touch of pop into the mix. Meanwhile, The Path sprawls out into full-blown psychedelia.
Beyond that, it’s all about straight-ahead, no-frills rock, played loose and full of energy. The Men might just be the best rock band out there right now—if you like your rock raw and unpolished. Another album that’s impossible to put down.
