Rose Cormier is quite active in Montreal’s scene, running Mulch and various art projects. She also knows the guys from Population II. After working together on music, they decided to release a split EP.
It was a good call, as it showcases a completely new side of Population II. Typically known for cerebral psych prog, they venture into hardcore punk here—great to hear!
Mulch then unleashes a wobbly, eight-minute beast that screeches mercilessly, followed by a straightforward punk track that also takes an unexpected turn.
