The Bermuda Squares consist of members from the Minneapolis punk scene, forming something of a supergroup. Their new album, “Outsider” (Feel It), is out now.
It is, of course, punk. Fast, raw, garage punk. Most tracks clock in under two minutes, staying true to style. Led by Tony Milek, the trio packs a lot of energy into a short amount of time.
Amidst the straightforward punk, there are some slight variations. “Hate Me” leans towards power pop, and “Basement (Funbois)” carries a touch of longing. It’s worth sticking around until the end for the fantastic “Car Accident.” But that shouldn’t be too hard to manage.
